I am a therapist.
I am a professional listener and butt kicker. I sit and listen and try to sift through the details and the distortions, down to the root of the story. When we get there, we work together to push “reset” on the latest version of the pain, the grief, the loss and the frustration of what is going on.
It’s not easy. It can be exhausting.
But most days, and most of the time, it’s a privilege to walk with someone along their well trod path and help re-think the story that holds them back from their authentic selves. Un-tell the lies, speak the truth, exorcise the pain and replace it with something more loving, beneficial and solid.
This blog is about some of the truths I’ve uncovered along the way.
To quote the ever succinct Shrek…”Better out than in, I always say.”
Yeah. Better out than in.
